Sarabi wakes up and smiles at Simba, before embracing with him) Simba, covered in ashes, emerges from the smoke to see Sarabi, untouched by the fire, but still unconscious. (A rainstorm emerges, putting out the flames. (Flames engulf Scar and burns him to death) The flames are about to engulf Simba so he runs away to escape them, something he barely accomplishes) ( Simba nearly falls to his death but smashes into a tree and lands safely. ( Scar grabs Simba by his mane and throws him off Pride Rock) ( Simba helps Scar by pulling him to safety) Please! I beg your forgiveness! You won, you're king! Scar: Are you no better than I? Scar as he is getting engulfed by the fire and laughing at his victory, which kills him Script Although the video ends by that point, it can be assumed that much like in the final film, Simba and Nala become the new rulers of pride and present their newborn cub to the Kingdom. Sarabi and Simba embrace, having finally been re-united and with the war over. The flames surrounding Pride Rock begin to engulf it, and Scar as well.Īs the flames threaten to engulf the Pride Lands, a rainstorm looms over the plains, putting out the fire. Meanwhile, on top of Pride Rock, Scar believes that Simba has fallen to his death, and that he has won, and begins laughing in victory he is engulfed by the flames surrounding Pride Rock and burned to death. As Simba falls onto safe ground, the fire surrounds him, so the young lion runs for his life, narrowly avoiding the fire. Simba falls, screaming for help, but just before he is about to land in the sea of fire, he lands on a burning tree, breaking his fall, and shielding him from the flames. But once Scar is in the clear, he grabs Simba's mane, dashes him by the neck, and throws him off Pride Rock into the burning flames below. Simba gives into his kind nature and grabs Scar by the mane and pulls his uncle up to safety. The old king then supposedly admits defeat to Simba, telling him that he is now the rightful King. Although Simba is willing to let Scar fall to his death, Scar reminds Simba that he is no murderer, and is better than him. Scar cries for help again, begging for mercy. He sees Scar clinging onto the edge of Pride Rock who is hanging above the fire below, dodging death. Suddenly Simba hears a cry for help from below.
"Help me Simba! Please, Help me! -Scar begging Simba to save him from falling to his death. Scar leaps toward Simba preparing to murder him but just as Simba is about to die, he uses his hind legs to shove Scar off of him causing Scar to fall off the edge of Pride Rock. Scar then mockingly states that the "cat is out of the bag," and that it will be 'their little secret.' Before his attempt to off Simba, Scar says, "Goodnight sweet prince." referencing the Shakespearean play ' Hamlet' (to which the film is based on). Simba reacts in shock, before angrily glaring at Scar. Then, while Simba is on his back, Scar walks towards Simba and gloats about how his battle was almost as easy as killing Simba's father, Mufasa, revealing to the young lion that he is responsible for Mufasa's death.
During their battle, Scar viciously claws Simba in the face, and the impact is so great, that Simba falls backward, dangerously close to the ledge. In this early storyboard scene, while Pride Rock is surrounded by flames and the hyenas are battling the lionesses, Simba battles his uncle Scar atop Pride Rock. "Goodnight Sweet Prince" - Scar quoting the Shakespearean play Hamlet, before leaping at Simba to murder him.
